Strategic Partnership Development & Marketing Support (PDS)


Primary Purpose:

The Partnership Development & Marketing Support position will be assigned to assist and coordinate the partnership development, build effective and enduring relationships; drive highly cross-functional processes; and blend product and industry expertise with pragmatic considerations to focus on tangible outcomes. With additional experience and demonstrated capabilities, the individual is expected to assist in partnership to develop product and technology application and preparing tender documentation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish, maintain and strengthening relations with key partners, members, principal and research institutions.
  • Make partnership development program to support the research, knowledge development and technology transfer into product development.
  • Gather business intelligence and research new sales leads and prospects, distilling research findings into key insights to support the sales process.
  • Research and identify opportunities for new potential sponsors in line with our commercial partnership growth strategy.
  • Develop sales materials for new business presentations and proposals tailored to the business priorities of the company.
  • Attend events with potential new partnership to create sales opportunities.
  • Strategically assess the profiles of performing partners and determine which to target. Develop and execute a recruitment process and campaigns for new partners that includes market focus.
  • Operate independently and as part of a team to assist in developing, implementing and monitoring the annual channel partner collaborative growth plan to meet and exceed goals and drive incremental sales revenue for the company.
  • Develop and execute an enablement strategy for Partnership.
  • Drive stronger partnerships through enablement programs.
  • Work with Strategic Marketing to develop promotional programs in product line growth and profitability.
  • Provide responsive, courteous support to Sales, Vendor Partners, and other internal departments at multiple management levels.
  • Maintain updates vendor database.
  • Liaises with the User Department/Division to prepare the tender documentation
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Have a degree in Civil Engineering or other Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience in partnership development and sales project tendering
  • Experience in new opportunity identification, sizing, investment allocation and prioritization
  • Demonstrated track record as an outstanding critical thinker, problem-solver and team player
  • Comfort with analytical and financial modeling, ability to work with large/complex data sources, and deep understanding of how to link strategy to implementation/financial plans
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, customer focus and business analysis skills
  • Experience in transfer technology project
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, prioritization and interpersonal skills with project management capability
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including clients, senior management, principal, university board management and others to build partnership; ability to communicate across functional and multicultural lines
  • Very strong written and oral communicator with proven ability to connect with senior executives
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Familiar with tender documentation
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Effective time management skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Persistence, drive and ability to work proactively
  • Strong command in writing, verbal and presentation skills in English
  • Flexibility to travel
